Kortni Elsworth helped Concordia University post two key victories to givie the team the most wins (15) since the 1985-86 season. For her efforts, she has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week for women's basketball.
 
The 5-6 guard from Goodrich, Mich. averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals as Concordia moved into a tie for fourth place in the conference. She scored 19 points, had four rebounds, two assists and two steals as the Cardinals posted a 69-59 victory against Siena Heights University. During a 71-64 win at Indiana Institute of Technology, Elsworth scored 18 points, had three rebounds, three assists and two steals.
 
For the season, the sophomore is averaging 11.50 points per game for the Cardinals.
 
Concordia (15-11) is currently tied for fourth in the conference with a 5-5 WHAC record. The 15 wins is the fourth-most in school history.
