In a week that saw only two Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) teams go undefeated, John Lierman of Aquinas College earned the Player of the Week award for men's basketball after helping the unranked Saints to a 2-0 week.

Lierman, a 6-4 senior from Holt, Mich., averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 50% from the field. In a 75-63 win at Madonna University, the guard scored 22 points, had three rebounds and handed out four assists. In a 63-58 win against #21 Siena Heights University, he scored 25 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had two assists.

During the last four games, Lierman has averagfed 23.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists.

On the year, Aquinas pulls to within three games of conference leaders, Cornerstone University and Davenport University. Overall, the Saints are 16-10 and 6-4 in conference place.
