Grand Rapids, Mich. -- Aquinas College senior Joslyn Narber passed a milestone midway through the second half of Saturday's game. Narber became only the second player in Aquinas women's basketball history to surpass the 2,000 point plateau.
With her 26 point effort against Siena Heights, Narber has accumulated 2,009 career points. Joslyn now finds herself within 28 points of being the most prolific scorer in Aquinas history. As of this moment Kathy Grzegorski (1981-1985) has that distinction. A special presentation to honor Narber's accomplishment will be made on Thursday night when the Saints host UM Dearborn at 7:30 p.m. at the Ford Fieldhouse.
On the season Narber is averaging 20 ppg and 7.5 rebounds per contest. Joslyn also leads the team in steals and assists. Narber is shooting 47% from the field including a 47% clip from beyond the three-point arc. Joslyn is also one of the premier free-throw shooters in the country as she is connecting on 88% of her attempts from the charity stripe.
