Indiana Institute of Technology was one win away from the Elite Eight at the 2009 NAIA Volleyball National Championship. Unfortunately Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) ended the dream.

The fifth-seeded Cougars defeated Tech in straight sets, 25-20, 29-27 and 25-11 to end the Warriors season at 35-10. It was the last match in the careers of two seniors - Ashley Jenkins and Jessica Fuller - and a great experience for the rest of the young squad.

Tech was led by Ashley Hamilton's 11 kills and Melanie Forman's 24 assists. Kayla Hartman and Kelsea Nova had 14 and 10 digs respectively.

APU advances to a quarterfinal match against fellow Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) member Concordia University (Calif.).
