FRESNO, Calif. (Nov. 30) - Indiana Institute of Technology was eliminated from the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship on a penalty kick.

A penalty kick in the 41st minute was the difference as No. 15 The Master's College (Calif.) advanced to the Quarterfinals after a 1-0 victory over Indiana Tech at the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship.

With the win, the Mustangs extend their unbeaten streak to eight straight matches and have not lost since a 2-0 decision to Vanguard (Calif.) on Oct. 17.

Both teams played to a scoreless second half with the Mustangs posting seven overall shots. Indiana Tech had six overall. With the shutout, The Master's recorded its 13th blanking this season.

Overall, Joel Peluffo and Jacob Marchesani of The Master's each put on two shots on goal.

Goaltender Kevin Lawson notched the win for The Master's as he compiled three saves.

Indiana Tech, appearing in its first Championship since 1983, concludes its season at 12-7-3.
