Indiana Institute of Technology fell one spot while Madonna University slipped two places in the latest NAIA Volleyball National Rating. With one rating remaining, both teams still landed in the Top 25.
Indiana Tech started the week at #16 and clinched the regular-season title in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference with a win against Davenport University on Oct. 29 before heading to the Georgetown Tournament. Tech won its first match against Union University (Tenn.) but lost 3-2 to No. 13-ranked Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.). Despite winning the next two matches, the lone loss was enough to drop the Warriors (27-9) one spot to #17.
Madonna was ranked #20 in last week's poll, but suffered a 3-2 loss to then-ranked #17 Taylor University (Ind.). The Crusaders also fell in five against Aquinas College to land at #22 in the national ranking with a 30-5 season record.
The top two teams in the conference face off Nov. 3 in the final WHAC match of the year for both teams.
