GRAND RAPIDS -- A tie with Indiana Tech was all the Saints needed to secure the regular season WHAC crown and the first seed in the upcoming WHAC tournament. Mission accomplished as the Saints and Warriors played to a 0-0 double overtime draw.
The tie pushes Aquinas' overall record to 12-3-2 and their record in the league to 8-2-1. Over the past eight games the Saints are 6-0-2 and have outscored their opponents 8-1. The Saints signature defense continues to be carrying this team towards the postseason. The Saints will close the regular season next Wednesday with a road date at Cornerstone.
