Aquinas College slipped to No. 7 and Cornerstone University fell to No. 14 in the latest edition of the NAIA Men's Cross Country National Rating.
 
Perhaps the ratings came out a couple days too early. After placing fifth in the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational in Chicago, the raters dropped Aquinas from #2 to No. 7. Aquinas responded by fourth out of 25 teams at the Michigan Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships while being the top NAIA team,  The Saints finished behind University of Michigan, Grand Valley State University and Eastern Michigan UniversityDustin Heiler crossed the line in 25th place for Aquinas with a time of 26:08. Rob Veldman also placed in the top 30 at #28 in 26:14.
 
Cornerstone also fell in the rating. CU moved dwon three spots from No. 11 ot 14 in the national poll. The Golden Eagles also ran at the Michigan Intercollegiates and was the second NAIA team to finish for eighth overall plac. Zach Ripley ran to sixth place overall in 25:24. Alex Green ran a time of 25:51 for 16th place.
