Madonna University eclipsed Indiana Institute of Technology by four strokes to win its third Jamboree of the season at Scott Lake Golf Club in Comstock Park, Mich. and Stonewater Country Club in Kentwood, Mich. Davenport University's Caitlin Duval took home individual honors.
Chelsea Bathurst tied for third and Michelle Hall was seventh to lead Madonna as the Crusaders posted rounds of 341 and 367 for a total stroke tally of 708. With the victory, MU extends its lead in the conference race.
Duval carded a two-day total of 159 (74, 85) to win the Jamboree by seven strokes. Duval helped Davenport set a new school record on the first day with a team score of 354, four strokes better than the old record. The Panthers finished fourth overall.
Indiana Tech was led by Megan Garrison with a two-day total of 166 for runner-up honors. Aquinas College finished one stroke better than Davenport for third place.
The final WHAC Jamboree will be Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 27-28. Concordia University will host the first day and Madonna will host day two.
