Four Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference softball players were named Second-Team All-Americans while one more was honorably mentioned for the award.
 
Pitcher Jess Irwin became Madonna University's first All-American in program history after a successful 33-win season. Irwin, the WHAC's Pitcher of the Year, tapped off her season by becoming just the fourth pitcher in the NAIA to record 400 strikeouts. She finished the season with 423 Ks and fired four no-hitters along with a perfect game. Junior second baseman Brittney Scero was named Honorable Mention.
 
Aquinas College placed two players on the second team - WHAC Player of the Year Ashley Aspinall and teammate Jacki Plough. Aspinall hit .455 on the year and drove in 64 runs, ranking sixth in the nation for RBIs. Plough hit .404 and had 54 RBIs.
 
Haley Stehouwer of Davenport University was also the first for her team to be named All-American. The catcher averaged 6.7 putouts per game whle hitting .382 and posted team highs in triples (6), home runs (17) stolen bases (12) and walks (33).
