Competing as an individual, Davenport University's Caitlin Duval shot a three-day total of 251 but missed the cut at the 2009 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships in Rapid City, S.D. Indiana Institute of Technology finished the tournament with a three-day total of 1141. The rounds were played at 72-par Meadowbrook Municipal Golf Course.
Low temperatures, 40-mph winds and rain hampered all 144 golfers during the opening rounds.
Duval, a junior, was playing in her first-ever national tournament and is the first female golfer to compete in nationals for Davenport after winning the WHAC individual title in the fall. She finished the three rounds at 35 over par, missing the cut. Click here to view her round scores.
The Tech team of Kalie Sanders, Tara Hanna, Alex Haskell and Brittany Watson posted team rounds of 376, 386 and 379 to finish 277 strokes over par. Click here to view individual round scores.
