Tech Grad Chosen to Lead Men's Basketball

Fort Wayne, IN - Indiana Tech has hired Brad Winton as head coach of the men's basketball team.

Winton played for the Warriors from 2002 to 2004 and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, sports management. He also was an assistant coach for the men's basketball team from 2004 to 2006 and from 2007 to 2008.

In his most recent position, Winton led the Cleveland Rockers to a 22-4 record as the youngest active coach in the ABA. His coaching experience also includes a year as an assistant coach at Myers University in Cleveland and work at a variety of basketball camps including the UNC-Charlotte Basketball Camps, Brad Winton Basketball School, and Painesville Riverside Beaver Basketball Camp.

As a student-athlete at Indiana Tech, Winton was an NAIA Academic All-American and Academic All Conference player in the 2002-03 season and captain of the 2003-04 Warrior team that participated in the NAIA national tournament.
