Semifinals are set in both the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference men's and women's basketball tournaments. The top four seeds in the women's tournament all won their opening-round games. On the men's side, seventh-seeded Michigan-Dearborn upset No. 2 Davenport to join the first, third and fourth seeds in the semifinals.

Top-seeded Aquinas defeated No. 8 seed Concordia 77-61 to advance to the semifinals. Conference player of the Year Pedja Lazic had a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds for Aquinas (22-9). The Saints will host Indiana Tech on Saturday. Marquis Turley scored 20 points for Concordia 10-21.

Fourth-seeded Indiana Tech was victorious against No. 5 Madonna 70-61. Tech was led by Shaun Cabrera's 21 points and three others scored in double figures. Tech (21-9) travels to Aquinas for a semifinal game. Madonna was led by Noah Williams' 15 points and finishes with a 12-19 record.

No 3-seed Cornerstone edged sixth-seeded Siena Heights 75-69 behind Ryan Zwier's 16 points. The Golden Eagles (20-11) will play underdog Michigan-Dearborn. Siena Heights was led by Curtis Stephens with 31 points and finishes the season15-16.

Seventh-seeded Michigan-Dearborn wore the cinderella slipper by upsetting second-seeded Davenport 72-71 in double overtime. Lonnie Fairfax of Davenport hit a jumper with 10 seconds on the clock to send the game into overtime. Myke White returned the favor for Dearborn, nailing a two-point shot with seven seconds remaining to force a second overtime.  Davenport took the lead with 17 seconds left in the second overtime on a three-point shot by Kyle Waaso. White played hero once again as he hit the front end of a one-and-one to pull to within one point. He missed the second free throw, but grabbed his own rebound and scored with two seconds for the win. Dearborn improved to 7-23 will face Cornerstone in the semifinals. Davenport finishes the season at 20-11.

Women's Tournament

Joslyn Narber was high scorer with 21 points in third-seeded Aquinas' 78-55 victory against #6 Michigan-Dearborn. April Feldpausch added 20 points for Aquinas in the victory. Chanel Bridges led UM-Dearborn with 18 points and Yvonne Hamood added 13. Aquinas improves to 19-9 and will face second-seeded Cornerstone on Saturday. UM-Dearborn's season ends at 16-13.
 
Top-seeded Davenport led from start to finish in its 87-42 victory against No. 8 Concordia. Brittany Lyman led all scorers with 13 points for DU. Teammate and WHAC Player of the Year Kallie Benike finished with 12 points. Courtney Willis was high scorer for Concordia with 10 points. Davenport (28-1) hosts #4 seed Madonna (15-16) in a semifinal game on Saturday. Concordia finishes its season at 8-22.
 
Madonna squeaked by fifth-seeded Siena Heights 79-72. The difference was seven more points scored by the Crusaders in the first half as both teams scored 42 points in the second half.  Alyssa Guerin led Madonna with 19 points as the Crusaders improve to 15-16 and will face Davenport in the semifinals.
 
Cornerstone needed an extra period to fight past No. 7 seed Indiana Tech 80-73. Down by nine at the half, Tech outscored Cornerstone 45-36 in the second half to send the game into overtime. In the extra period, Cornerstone scored first and held on for the win. CU's Robyn Veltkamp led all scorers with 22 points as four Golden Eagles scored in double figures. Indiana Tech was led by Leshea McCoy's 20 points. Three other Warriors scored in double figures as Tech finishes the season at 10-19. Cornerstone improves to 24-7 and will host Aquinas on Saturday.
