With regular-season play wrapping up Saturday, teams in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) are turning their attention to the postseason conference tournament. All eight teams of been seeded for both the men's and women's brackets.
 
Aquinas College's 85-63 victory against Indiana Institute of Technology on Thursday night sealed the No. 1 seed for the Saints in the men's division. Aquinas, 21-9 overall, finished the conference schedule with an 12-2 record. The first conference loss came at the hands of Cornerstone University on Jan. 28 (69-73). Davenport University also scored a victory, 61-76, earlier this month for the Saints' second conference loss.
 
First-round games are slated for Thursday, Feb. 26 on campus sites. Aquinas will host the No. 8 seed Concordia University (10-20/2-13). Davenport is the second seed with a 20-10 overall record (10-4 in WHAC) and will host #7 University of Michigan-Dearborn (6-23/2-12). Third-seeded Cornerstone (19-11/9-5)will host #6 Siena Heights University (15-15/6-8) while #4 Indiana Tech (20-9/9-5) has a home game against No. 5 Madonna University (12-18/6-8). All games start at 7:30 p.m.
 
Semifinal games will be played Saturday, Feb. 28 with the higher seeds hosting each game. The championship game is Tuesday, March 3 at the highest remaining seed. The tournament winner receives an automatic berth to the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship Tournament in Point Lookout, Mo.

The women's side of the conference saw Davenport (27-1/13-1) defeat Siena Heights 77-73 on Saturday to claim the regular-season title. Davenport's lone loss of the season came at the hands of Cornerstone on Jan. 21, 81-95. The Panthers climbed to a school-record No. 3 national ranking in the latest NAIA poll.
 
Opening round games are Wednesday, Feb. 25 at higher seeds. Top-seeded Davenport takes on No. 8 Concordia (8-21/2-12) and second-seeded Cornerstone (23-7/12-2) hosts #7 Indiana Tech (10-18/2/12). No. 3 Aquinas (18-9/10-4) hosts #6 Michigan-Dearborn (16-12/5-9) while No. 5 Siena Heights (11-19/5-9) travels to #4 Madonna (14-16/9-5). All game times are 7:30 p.m.
 
Semifinals are set for Saturday, Feb. 28 at the higher seeded team and the championship game is Monday, March 2 at the highest remaining seed. The conference tournament champion receives an automatic berth to the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.
