(Bristol, TN) - The Indiana Tech Volleyball won in the opening round of the NAIA National Volleyball tournament, defeating King College 3-0 in Bristol, TN on Saturday, November 22nd.

Freshman Ashley Hamilton (Middlebury, IN / Northridge) had 10 kills and 11 digs, junior Michelle Fitzpatrick (Lincoln, IL / Parkland College) led the team with 23 defensive digs, and senior Laura Booker (Fort Wayne, IN / Bishop Luers) contributed with 16 digs and 37 assists.  The Warriors will next begin pool play at the National Tournament in Sioux City, IA beginning on Tuesday, December 2nd when they play #7 California Baptist (1:15 CST).  The remainder of their pool play will be Wednesday, December 3rd vs #6 Georgetown (KY) (11:00am CST) and Thursday, December 4th vs College of Idaho (11:00am CST).  The top two teams will advance from each of the six pools with a single elimination bracket, which begins on Friday, December 5th and will conclude with a championship match on Saturday, December 6th at 7:30pm (CST).
