WHAC regular-season co-champions Madonna University and Indiana Institute of Technology will both represent the conference in the 29th Annual NAIA Volleyball National Championship.
Holding at No. 11 in the country, WHAC tournament champion Madonna (34-4) received a bye for the opening round of the national tournament and will advance to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa on Dec. 2. Conference tournament runner-up Indiana Tech will travel to Bristol, Tenn. for a first-round match with King College (Tenn.).
The top 12 teams in the nation received byes and advanced notification of traveling to Sioux City. Madonna lost the final match of the regular season to Indiana Tech before meeting the Warriors again in the conference championship match. The Crusaders prevailed in four games. It's the seventh consecutive national appearance for Madonna and the 11th overall.
Indiana Tech (31-2) climbed one spot in the national poll to #18 after the loss in the conference championship to receive an At-Large berth. Tech's opponent, King, qualified by winning the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) tournament. King enters the opening round with a 30-9 overall record. The winner will move forward to the final site and be placed in one of six pools.
