Comstock Park, Mich. - The second year of women's golf in the WHAC is in the books and Indiana Tech held off a charging Madonna team to claim their first title in school history. The individual honors went to Davenport's Caitlin Duval who posted an 80.0 scoring average for the seven events.

Indiana Tech came into the final WHAC Jamboree hosted by Aquinas College with a slim half- point lead over Madonna University. The Warriors posted a team score of 355 on the day which was just three strokes better than the Crusaders and Tech gained the full six points to increase their winning margin to just two. Coming in third place with a team total of 24 points was last year's WHAC Champions Aquinas College. Finishing out the team standings were Siena Heights (18), Cornerstone (16) and Davenport (13).

On the individual side, it came right down to the final 18-holes as Davenport's Caitlin Duval finished on top and was closely followed by Indiana Tech's Jordan Essman. The two came into the final jamboree separated by only 3 shots but Duval's 84 allowed her to claim the title. Also earning a Top-6 finish and All-WHAC honors were Kelly Sawyer (Siena Heights - 85.71), Chelsea Bathurst (Madonna - 86.71), Sara Simnitch (Madonna - 87.29) and Tara Hanna (Indiana Tech - 87.43).

The honorable mention team consisted of five players as well and included Aquinas' Jessica Morse and Allie Dragoo, Madonna's Caitlin Steele, Indiana Tech's Kalie Sanders and Cornerstone's Stefanie Stuewe
