Grand Rapids, Mich. The Cornerstone University women's basketball team participated in the "Race for the Cure" 5k on Saturday, September 27th.  Senior, Dani Kraai, informed the team about this opportunity and organized everything.  The race had over 5500 participants and raised over $435,000 in efforts to finding a cure to breast cancer.  "This was a great event to be apart of.  So many people are affected by cancer in some way and it was great to feel that our team could help make a difference," states head coachCarla Fles.  We hope to continue making a difference by joining with the WBCA in the "Pink Zone" initiative in February.
