Ann Arbor, Mich. - With a 1-under par 71 today, Davenport's Caitlin Duval is now the holder of the lowest score in WHAC history. The junior from Grandville, MI posted the score at WHAC Jamboree #4 hosted by Concordia University. Caitlin Duval, who transferred from Grand Valley State this season, has made her impact on the WHAC golfing scene immediately and now has officially put her name atop the record books. Duval posted a 1-under par 71 in today's WHAC Jamboree #4 which was played at Pheasant Run GC. She led the Panthers to a fifth place finish with a team score of 358 behind winner Indiana Tech (335), and Aquinas and Madonna (343). Cornerstone (357) and Siena Heights (362) rounded out the scoring for the team scores. Davenport's team score also broke a school record today which was 10 shots better than the previous record of 368. Behind Duval's record setting day, the Panthers received scores from Nicole Labonte and Nicole Meredith who each posted 91's and Emily Duval who came in with a 101. Davenport will stay on the east side of the state for tomorrow's WHAC Jamboree #5 which is being hosted by Madonna University. |
